Our history.
Dennis Loomis's career in construction started in Fairfax, Virginia, in 1976. This is where he created his first company, Custom Carpentry of Northern Virginia. When the economy crashed in 1979, he moved to Park City, Utah. Dennis worked in construction as a framer there for three years before moving to California. In 1989, Loomis Construction became more than just a long-time dream; it transpired into reality. Seeking a lifestyle change from the hustle and bustle of Southern California, the Loomis’ moved back to Park City, Utah, in 1996 to try their hand at building in the harsh yet beautiful climate.
Loomis Construction started small, but with big aspirations to provide top-notch construction services, the company has grown exponentially over the past few decades. With a reputation of superior quality and professional service, this has earned Dennis the title of one of the best builders in Park City, Utah. Having built upwards of 35 custom homes and numerous commercial projects, Loomis Construction has the experience and expertise that matter.
When Loomis Construction started in 89’ Dennis had no idea that his passion would turn into a family affair. Lisa Loomis, Dennis’s wife, has played a pivotal part in running the business since its consummation with her background in finance and interior design. Together, the two of them have transformed Loomis Construction into the outstanding and reputable business it is today. In 2019, Parker Loomis, son of Dennis and Lisa (a 2016 graduate of The University of Utah), was encouraged to join the team as a marketing specialist/project coordinator. Keeping the company in the family is important to the Loomis’s as this is more than just a business; it’s their life.
